Spring Break

The Opperman Family came to visit us from March 18-23. We had the best time with them! It was so good to be with family and to see everyone. Ellie was in heaven playing with her cousins. I loved seeing the kids and how much they have grown.  We all stayed in our apartment, which we were all nervous about, but I think it worked out just great.

They got here Friday evening, we had dinner and hung out and chatted. On Saturday we went over to the George Bush Presidential Library Musuem. There was a huge St. Patricks Day parade here so it took us a while to get around it. We had lunch before going into the museum.

They had a replica of the Oval Office just how it was when George Bush was in office.

I think we all really enjoyed the museum and learned a lot about President Bush and his time during Presidency. I enjoyed learning more about his wife and her contributions.

That evening we came home, ordered pizza, and the kids played soccer outside with Ismael.

On Sunday we came home had lunch and hung out for a little bit. We decided to take a walk down at White Rock lake.

Hanging out at home, looking at Dylan's videos on the iPad.

On Monday, we loaded up and went to the Perot Musuem! This was probably all of the kids favorite thing that we did.

After a few hours, we took Ellie and Megan down to the Children's area of the musuem. They had fun playing together.

Tuesday we went to the arboretum. Everything was in bloom and it was gorgeous! It ended up being a beautiful day.

They had a little petting zoo set up. Myla loves animals (even though her face doesn't show it in this picture).

Myla turned 8 months!

After the arboretum, we went over to the Trolley and rode it around uptown to Klyde Warren Park.

We had such a great time with family! I think the kids loved just being and playing together more than anything. Ellie was especially in heaven. Those kids are the sweetest.

Sadly, the Opperman had to take off Wednesday morning. It was so sad to say goodbye. My brother was in Dallas for work, so he stopped by that evening. We went to dinner with him and came back and spent time visiting with him. It was so good to see him too.

Grateful for family and the time that we got to spend with them! It was a much needed break for all of us.
