Thanksgiving

We have so much to be grateful for this year! Our biggest blessings are each other and our two little girls. We are grateful that Myla joined our family this year and is a healthy and great baby. She has added such a fun dynamic into our home.

We are grateful for Ismael's job, a warm (and cool in the summer) place to live, food to eat every day, friends, our ward, Skype, excellent parents, modern medicine, learning experiences, and our Savior, Jesus Christ. (and so much more of course)

We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. I have so much appreciation for my mom now and all of the hard work she put into making sure we had an amazing dinner every year! It is no easy task. I spent Tuesday trying to plan food, Wednesday grocery shopping with the girls and a little meal  prep, and Thursday morning finishing cooking and cleaning the house as much a we could. I think everything turned out great!

Here is the crew! Our friends the Rasmussen's, the Salgado's, and Maria Morales all came. Cooking wasn't too bad because we split up the meal between us. The missionaries also came and joined us a little late.

At the end of dinner, we all took turns and talked about things that we were grateful for this past year. I really liked making it more specific to this past year. Everyone was so sincere and I was reminded that we all have struggles, but usually even more blessings. We can always see that God cares about us individually and about the details in our lives when we reflect.

After dinner we played Pie Face. What a fun game!

Ellie was so excited for her turn and kept her eyes closed the whole time.

"I think I am all done."

What a great Thanksgiving! Another great holiday to remember.
